A new word has entered Datagate‘s vocabulary, which is “Orchestration” or more specifically “Revenue Orchestration”.
What is the definition of Orchestration in a software, systems context?
“Orchestration ties multiple automated systems, tasks and data together in a cohesive, end-to-end workflow”.
Through working with hundreds of service provers in multiple countries, Datagate has evolved, and our value to Service Providers and to Service Provider Channels has become deeper and wider than just “telecom billing”. The billing of telecom services may be Datagate’s primary function, but there is a lot more to Datagate than just producing telecom invoices, and this is where the word Orchestration comes in.
Datagate orchestrates the automatic flow of data between internal systems and external systems, customers and vendors. It extends the capabilities of PSA and accounting systems to handle all types of usage-based services (such as voice, circuits, AI, APIs, security incidents etc), and complex telecom taxes as well as multi-state sales taxes.
Datagate enables the billing of a wide variety of services through automated billing workflows, and it passes data between systems that would normally not talk to each other. All of this adds up to more automation and efficiency for the Service Provider as well as the ability to bill all types of services easily and accurately with full tax compliance.
Another of Datagate’s key capabilities is Channel Enablement, where Datagate systems are now being provided by Wholesale Service Providers to their resellers. This ensures that resellers can correctly and efficiently orchestrate and bill what they are selling, while freeing up more time to sell, and staying tax compliant.
